It is a very fine adjustment, you need to be very accurate when making it.

In my experience the plastic rose joints on the throttle linkages take an amount of miles to settle in, as they material is relatively soft the initial rate of wear is higher - although you need to keep it in perspective, as the adjustment is so fine, a very small wear amount makes a rather bigger difference - this is why so many peple have assumed the TPS is set wrong from the factory, it isn't but the initial change in adjustment can be apparent quite early.
