No, we wouldn't. Hitler posed no threat to us. Hundreds of thousands needlessly died. Can't understand why people insist we had to declare war on Germany and Hitler (who had, in fact, shown great admiration for the British and the Empire).

Wouldn't have been much left of the rest of Europe though... Plus once he'd got all that and even though he'd said they would remain neutral towards Britain what would have stopped him?
After all just leaving it would have given him a really strong foot hold.
