See now normally I agree with the death penalty. But reading that Im wondering what distinction is there between what they have done - showing that beheading on tv and what you are proposing? Or is it just our system is the "right" one so thats ok for us to do it but theyre terrorists when they do it?

Tbh its American double standards and hypocrisy on foreign affairs that created Al Quaeda.
Had Reagan not trained, armed and funded the Taliban to fight the Russians and then went back on his word and ceased all aid and funding to the people they wouldnt have such a grudge against the USA.
Add on to Americas Israeli sympathies and willingness to criticise Arab atrocities while turning a blind eye to Israels activities in that area, and you get a bunch of ****ed off people.
The palestinians are at the point they have nothing left to sacrifice but their lives. Trying to find a political solution will not be easy, but it has to be done.
A start would be for Israel to stop with their concentration/torture camps and the US administration ignoring it.

Is it just me btw that finds it tragically ironic that the Israelis who suffered so much in concentration camps in the second world war think nothing of putting Palestinians in them. Ok they arent gassing them but they certainly are torturing people, not necessarily guilty of anything if the documentary on this I watched was anything to go by.
Btw, anyone know what happened to Akbhar? Hes usually appearing in these threads by now.
