Trading a pointy for a curvy
Hi guys,
I have owned a pointy K4 SV for almost a year now, (for sale in the sale section wink wink!) and I decided I would like to get an S version or another type of bike.
A chap at work was advertising a mint condition SK1 which I went to see last night. I was absolutely amazed at the condition of it - he has had quite a few bikes as 'projects' to strip down, etc and he has owned this one since new. Its only done 2500 miles as he has a problem in his neck meaning it is painful to ride. So he just cleans and polishes it instead!
I took it for a test ride and was amazed at how much smoother it felt than the FI model, also was quite different being on an S version (haven't ridden a 'sports style' bike for ages).
I'm hoping to have the bike if I can sell mine, even though it is four years older than the one I'm selling.
This is more of a story than anything else but does anyone else think the curvy's are smoother than pointy's? Should I be wary of anything in a bike of this age? He hsa changed the fluids in it regularly I believe so it hasn't just been sitting.
Cheers for any views / opinions,
Matt
