Yeh, i too encounter this type all the time on my commute. Their bad lane discipline doesnt even cross their minds. they dont wonder why a bike undertook them. They just think that they saw us do something naughty and flash at us.
Its the vehicular wag of the finger i think.

Followed by a gesture to suggest they should move over a lane. And they flash again and stay in the lane they really dont need to be in.
