What soggy brake problem? True the SV hasn't the sharpest brakes ever found an a motorbike, but if yours are 'soggy' they need attention.

Check/Change:

Fluid.
Lines.
Caliper Seals.
Master Cylinder Seals.
Caliper Sliding Pins: Seized.
Caliper Sliding Pins: Worn. Actually the holes in the caliper wear more than the pins do - they oval at extended mileage, when they do the calipers flex even more than ever.
