As Far as I know scorpion only do an end can not a full system so it's only really one bolt. I'd be surprised if that could overwhelm the 6 or so Engine mounting bolts. However if the rear wheel alignment was out or the chain was dry / tension was duff you can easily get a whine from the chain?
Bottom line, whatever they want to blame, if the whine's gone and they haven't taken the engine apart happy days.
