I wouldn't bother with that myself. You can get a can with removeable baffle for £110 from CCC and a couple of other companies .
Do ask if they come with the short link pipefor reattaching the original. I'm sure someone will confirm that in a mo

Stick the unmolested can back on the bike when it's time to sell.
