I did my DAS last August with West Pennine Training, in Blackburn, can't recommend them highly enough! They're advertised every week in MCN. I paid £550 for 5 days, with CBT on the first day and full test on the fifth day. If you want to do the intensive course you have to have already done the theory test before you start your five days. The money included five nights in the B&B down the road from the training school, and it was good fun as I went with a mate. It was cheaper for me to go and do this and stay over than it was to do it in Birmingham.

As carsick said, it was really, really tiring! I was actually properly ill after it all finished, I literally finished my test (passed with one minor which indicates quality of training ) and the adrenaline stopped and I felt sh*te!

I thought the intensive day after day was a good way to do it, as I said the instuctors were really good and taught us how to ride safely and properly, as opposed to 'just preparing us for the test'. Blackburn may not be the most inspiring place to ride around for five days but it has a decent mix of roads and conditions and I really enjoyed it.

Best thing is I now get to ride my SV!
