It should not be necessary if the oil has been changed on a regular basis, modern engines are much cleaner than older ones that needed a flush.
I suppose the only exception to this might be if the bike had only been ridden on very short journeys when the oil barely had time to warm up.
After a flush some older engines would start to leak because the sludge was helping the seals.
I've never used a flush.
