same up here Trev. Set a few seeds yesterday, did not water them in as I thought the forecast ed rain would do it, and top up the near empty water butts - no chance , no rain, blue skies are here again

Evening all. Looks like Autumn is here already. I'd would have quite liked some summer first!

How's the week going for everyone?

It's been a pretty pants work week thanks to some genius deciding to do an upgrade to everyone's SAP GUI on day two of month end... An angry mob of accountants is not a pretty sight. You know its bad when us introverts get noisy!

Thankfully I am now done for the week and we're visiting The Monkey this weekend. Yay.

Had a cracking ride-out today in the sunshine, and had a good chat with the owner of an Aprilia RS250 over a coffee. Didn't see many of those around when they were new, let alone now. It had Jim Lomas spannies on it, which sounded glorious.

Likewise, I took advantage of the good weather and took the TA out for a spin. I haven't ridden it for over two weeks.

My old paddock stand doesn't work too well on the TA due to the enormous front wheel. This is my solution some 8" shopping cart wheels.

Skills there, John!

I have the same time of front stand and I'm never quite 100% confident the two rubber-covered fingers will actually stay in place on the end of the forks. In hindsight perhaps I should have gone for a steering-stem stand but they cost a LOT more ...

I bought one of the steering head stands a few years back and tbh, it wasn't that pricey. I think it cost around £35 back then.

*Edit*
Bloody hell! This is the one I bought back then. It's more than doubled, possibly trebled in price!

It was quite simple really.

I bought this stand years ago for the SV as a double package offer, front and rear for slightly more than just a rear. The rear never gets used now as my last two bikes have centre stands.
