Yes, our road slopes gently upwards so once a few cars polish to snow / ice its hard to get moving. I just think no one thinks to help themselves and others so much these days. The roads magically clear themselves

Yup, folks seem to have the idea that there will always be someone else to do this stuff for them. Translate that to a global scale and it's not hard to see why we are so deeply in the crap.
