Normally some of the prizes are crap but this one I have won has set me wondering
Johnnie Walker Red Label SPECIAL Old Scotch Wisky Lead sealed top By appointment to late King George V King George V died in 1936 and as far as I am aware you can only use a royal warrant for five years after death. If this is correct this bottle of whisky is 66 years old??????? Should this be the case is it worth putting into a whisky auction as a collectable or just hold on to it. The labels on the bottle are worn but still perfectly readable |

Depends how much you like whisky ... if you're a connoisseur then I'd be tempted to save it for a very very special occasion and then savour it with a very good friend or two (or three) ... otherwise get in an auction and you can have all the JD in your local Bargain Booze

Yeh,I do like the odd dram or two,but thats an awful lot of Famous Grouse drams in comparision to a 1/2bottle of 66year old whisky. Me thinks it will be in a future whisky auction and replaced by a case of Grouse

Quality not quantity. If you buy a case of Grouse and have it sitting in the house you'll just drink way more than usual and kill your liver!
