Default AZERTY - Its all rather confusing.

I'm in Brùssels this week which means I'm using a azerty keyboard, so I'm having to really concentrate not to make mistakes. As I normally touch type I'll show you what a sentance would look like if I didn't look.

Throughuut my sheltered computer life, I never even knew these existed.

That would be SO frustrating i think i would end up throwing it out the window.

If you touchtype anyway (you don't need to see what's on the keys), change the regional settings on the PC ... then it'll work like a UK config one??

Why not just take a UK usb keyboard with you?

What he said. I touch type as well. If I make an error I correct without looking also. It really wouldn't matter if there were nothing on the keys at all. Change the settings. And even better than that, leave it like it when your done so the next person using it will wonder what the hell is going on.

Used to working out in France, so plenty of experience fighting them, worse part is the top row numbers you need to shift key for.

Now once you get the hang of them, get over to china with the simplified chinese keyboards.

I was thinking about doing that, and I am going to experiment in a while...

My doctor friend prefers the Dvorak layout...very confusing as most of the letters on her ancient keyboard have worn away. I go to type something innocuous and it appears on the screen as an insult in fluent Klingon.
