Default Another one down!

Hello All

Had an off yesterday on the way to work. Cold tyres, slippery road, bike lowsided, me slide on my backside! However, I stopped on the slip road, bike slid onto the dual carriageway, so luckily I didn't make it that far! No fun at all - been riding 6 years and this is my first off

I did't do anything different to every other day I ride this road. Checked for any oil/deisal and nothing Just one of thise things me thinks.

Anyway, cracked the engine casing and oil sump and a fair bit of cosmetic damage to fairing etc. Just waiting to hear from insurance as to whats gonna happen next...... I'm off work with a very stiff neck, but sure that will fix soon. Thanking my luck stars as this is my first year i've had FC insurance!

Take care out there

Andy

I was on a twisty slip road, that is both on an incline with a tight right hander then a left hander before joining the A50 dual carriageway.

I was on the left-hander when the bike gave way. No real lean angle, just riding as I do every day. probably only doing 25mph.......

Its half term week for schools which luckily meant the A50 was very quiet. the first 2 cars that came past stopped and helped me get the bike out of the road before any other traffic came down (its a 70 mph road, but people driving a lot faster in reality).

Thanks for the kind words. And you're right, day time telly is awful!!

Sounds sort of Markfield area ?

Always bad coming up to motorways and major roads, people fill up with diesel and spill it out on the bends of slip roads. You should try fosse park, like a blooming ice rink sometimes !!

Get well soon.

Alan.

Not too far from you I should imagine.

Close - just a bit further down the A50...... its the slip road joining the A50 from the top end of Groby.

Ride around th ring road past FossePark quite a bit too....

Where abouts are you??

Thats a bummer.
Even more so having just built up all that NCB and having them knock it all back.
