Thumbs up Newbie here

Hey all, I'm James and brand new to bike forums and to the SV650.
I don't own one yet but is in the plans before the end of the year.
I've chosen the SV because it's been about 15 years since I've ridden my Kawasaki KZ400 which was a blast to ride but alas, out grew it's capability.
I've been bikeless ever since.

So now I've got a good job, making good money (finally), and am ready for that bike to get me back in the groove of riding.
I'd originally wanted the GSXR-750 but that seemed to be a bit much for someone that hadn't been on a bike in so long.
Plus, I plan on attending the MSF basic course along with my Nephew to ge refamiliarized with riding and once the bikes we purchase are under our butts, will be taking the advanced course that is offered by the MSF.

So after doing alot of digging, talking with other bike enthusiasts that have been riding for years, I've decided on the SV650SF with abs as my stallion to ride.
It's got the sporting flair that I was looking for in the 750, light weight, and all around good bike with the good v-twin engine.

So, I'm here to say hello and yes, I do write alot when I post. lol
I'm not new to forums and am a supermod and admin on a couple of automotive forums which is my expertise.
But now that I'm into motorcycles again, have subscribed to SportRider, Motorcyclist, and am learning what I can before I actually do purchase the SV.

Thanks for reading my book.
Nice to meet ya.

Welcome in. Most of us are from the other side of the pond, but we'll give you any advice, have a virtual beer with you and take the p155 for any crashes...

For stuff your side of the world, try svrider.com.

But don't let that stop you coming here as well!

Lol, I didn't know this would be on the other side of the big pond.
No matter though.
I'm on a couple of car forums that are also in Canada and on the other side of the pond too.
And thanks for the link to the other forums for the sv enthusiast.
I will be sticking around to learn what I can and have a better understanding of the SV.
Thanks.
