Default The girlfriend wants a new exhaust..

My other half has a faired black K5 and is looking around for a slip on to replace the gurt hunking original exhaust. We've had a look around and CCC seem pretty good. I think she's settled on getting a carbon exhaust, but hasn't settled on the style (round, oval etc).

What can you guys and girls recommend? Do you have a carbon exhaust and have some pictures of it? She'd love to have a look at what other people have got as seeing a picture of an exhaust on its own isn't really the same as seeing it on a bike

Cheers!

i used to have one on my curvy and loved it. now have a fuel after a lowside mashed it. would have gone ccc again but the fuels removable baffle is fitted with an allen bolt rather than a rivot and i was told by some that carbon cans ie. the material. can and do rattleapart more easily on v twins because of the vibrations.

Here's a piccy of mine with a Scorpion carbon end can.
There are issues about v twins and carbon sleeves. Apparently the carbon can be destroyed by the pulses of the twin. Scorpion get round this by putting a ceramic sleeing inside their carbon end cans. This means that Scorpion are still able to offer a lifetime warranty with carbon where everybody else will only offer 12months.
