Only thing though, as said in the build thread, it won't be that high and unless the org is willing to butcher me bike at the AR it won't be done until after then

I think you will be looking for a MIG, or possibly a TIG welder.
Never heard of an ORG welder before...... ![]()

As far as I know the subframe is mild steel and it's all out of sight, so you'll get away with even stick welding (doesn't even have to be that good or pretty, just strong), I'm aware of 4 down here, but not my area up that way.
I'd guess looking at it the ar*e would need narrowing and mounts moved, shouldn't be a difficult job. Oh and you'll have to make something as side panels to finish it off. Cheers Mark.

Thanks Mark, yeah the idea is make use of the old side panels and dremmel them down to cover stuff up still. The SV tail, does just about fit over the subframe, but to make it fit nicely and look good I need to chop it a little down.

who's the local spanner monkey around? has he got an arc welder ? as they are fairly cheap most would have something like that kicking about normally.
Cheers Mark.

Hmm yeah, Rad is the guy I normally go to, he will probs know someone who could help him out as it needs a service before the AR, it may well be done before the AR then. I won a competition for welding in my engineering course that I passed with an A, when I was back in school, but I wouldn't be very confident to do such a thing to my bike really.
