I've got a faired one at the moment for a loan bike whilst my GSXR gets a new set of pads and a clutch cable.
I rode it off the forecourt of the dealers not realising it was a 12 I thought it was a 650. I had a rather pleasant surprise, silky creamy power delivery and so so much torque, nearly ripped my arms off as I wasnt ready for it. Its a bit of bus and it doesnt turn very quickly and it needs muscling about, but by god it was a hoot, decent screen, big comfy seat I liked it and now I feel dirty.. I must be getting old...

![]() No, it's not wrong at all. Bandit has always been very good value for money and nice bikes to boot. Bandit with a race can and going 'some'......mmmm lovely. Ben |

Sorry to say it but as you get older comfort plays a bigger part in bike choice.
1200 Bandit nice 1250 Suzie nicer Both big smooth torquey engines easy to ride but not sports bikes as in regard to throwing them about on the twisties |

The Bandit 12 was Suzuki's attempt at the hooligan market. They did it quite well. It used to be the stunt bike of choice. There was a reason for that. Loads and loads of low down grunt.

Yes master... oooh... you charmer...
Opps sorry, not for me... I had that bandit 650 while mine was off the road, it went well but as you said, a bit of a fat bike, needed pushing about round corners. Those 12's must be just more so. |

The 1250 can be ridden with spirit on the road and keep a lot of other stuff honest. It requires more rider input but for me thats where the buzz is, when I had the gixer thou K6 and it just did everything with little effort letting you get on with going quicker. I got the 1250 to keep my licence longer and have the comfort for longer distance touring with kit. Do I miss the gixer, well yes but not as much as I'd miss my licence.

The Bandit 1250 is a lovely bike to ride, if I was interested in getting a bike like this the 1250 would be the first choice.
