"unaccompanied hearses carrying the bodies of repatriated British soldiers"??!

I have seen two of these on the A34 and there were about 4 police cars all over it! It was causing a jam on the other side of the road cos of people looking at it. I was just thinking that I didn't see why they needed to barge their way through crowds of motorists causing slow traffic on both sides to accompany a hearse??

Anyway, I will be on the lookout for some of these guys, will give them a little wave.

Something to do with giving a little due respect for the soldiers who died in the line of duty mate. Now I am well aware that the body in the back of the hearse is unlikely to be worried or complain about it. But that is missing the point. How undignified a final journey for a war hero to be chugging along in a traffic jam.

But its the A34, how dignified can you get? I would have thought just transport the body to the cemetary, then have the full guard of honour there?
