I'm bidding for some public authority work. We have to complete a beast of a PQQ. Has anyone done one before??? Any tips on how to present us in a good light? I would like to give answers to questions that aren't there, is this generally permitted - I mean, can I expand answers so that I answer more than the quezzie asks?
Any info/help hugely appreciated... Ed |

What field of work? I've assisted with some PQQs in the past and I normally just answer their questions exactly as they've asked them and provide the evidence/documents they want. At this early stage they usually just want to see whether the company has the financial backing to complete the work and the sufficient resources (people) to do it. The success rate with PQQs tend to vary so I can't say for definite whether expanding on the questions is good or not.

Hmmm...well I have absolutely no experience with legal services bids. I'm in the field of Transport Planning, but I imagine as it is local authority work that they will have a set PQQ template which they use for everything. I'd try not to give away too much information. Try to hold some stuff back so that you have something to say when it comes to actually tendering!! When they assess a PQQ I believe it's just like tick box system and if you get enough ticks you'll get asked to tender so along that train of thought I'm not sure adding any extra info will be majorly beneficial.
This are only my thoughts on my experience though! (I don't want to be blamed if you don't get invited to the next round! ![]() |
