Default Wrong Zip

Just brought a pair of Arlen Ness leather trousers with my 20% discount at HG. I knew when I brought them the zip was the wrong way round for my jacket (Ixon), so I'm wondering the best way to get this fixed. Both are the same size but both have the 'male' zipper head on.
Figured I could cut the zip off one of them and stitch in a new zip...or is there an easier way?
Thanks

Think you've answered your own question. Either get a good shoe repair shop, saddlemaker or leather manufacturer to do it for you, if you're going to try and stitch it to the leather?

Unless you're just going to use the fabric of the zip to attach the new zip

Think you need to buy a complete zip and attach one side to the top, the other to the bottom, unless you can match one half.
