Reminds me of a story I was told on my apprenticeship . One of the guys I used to work with did his apprenticeship at Dunlop in the 60`s . They had a smilar style machine that used to shred tires but it had a very close tolerance fast moving drum and a slow moving drum next to it . Tire falls in .... nom nom shreddity nom . So this guy leans over the machine , and in his top pocket of his boiler suit was an open ended spanner , it falls out of his pocket and drops smack bang right into the middle of these 2 rollers and passes through the machine and really upsets the fast moving drum . Machine is down for ages as they take it apart . He keeps very quiet about it and confesses nothing . They inspect the drum and find the perfect imprint of the offending spanner and put 2 and 2 together . They search the local area and find the slightly rounded spanner and there on it was engraved the initials of the Apprentice ................. huge butt hoofing occurred , ever since then he made sure his boiler suit top pockets were sewn shut .
