Default Headlight rubber boot and bulbs.

As some of you know i run a strange chines pointy headlight thing.

Now what i would like to know if anyone could help me with a few problems:

What sort of temperature difference is there between a 35w h1 and a 55w h1 bulb? as the 55 melted the rubber boot.

also i need a replacement rubber boot but one that can take the temp of the bulb alot better.
Can i get one made or should i hunt for something that will bodge?

One last thing is that i would say the diameter of the fitting is no bigger than a 10p coin so finding something to fit is an issue.

thanks brock.

I'd be worried about what else might melt.

Been running h1 55w and nout melted apart from one corner of the rubber which deteriorated rather quick....but i think that was due to the cheerful chines side of things being built to a price.

but mainly any ideas on rubber boots or maybe silicone type thing as it can withstand more.
