Default Race Fat... erm, Fit

I'm too fat! despite losing 4 and a half stone I'm still 3 stone over my race weight!

Yesterday at Cadwell proved I'm unfit too! I managed three laps at absolutely, do or die, balls out, ragged edge race pace before I had to back off! Not good! I went out again later and did a 10 lap race distance and came in absolutely knackered and reconed my fitness was costing me 5 seconds a lap!

Last session of the day I got into a groove and started running fast but comfortable laps for 12 laps and was still about 5 seconds off the balls out pace!

I need to get fit! Let the Walrus reduction begin! I need to buy trainers!

Not that it's comparable at all, when I did a track day at cadwell last year I couldn't finish the day as I was so knackered!! This is from someone who's race pace could be beaten by a child on a bmx
This made me appreciate a bit more just how fit you have to be to race.
I've since started running and am doing my first half marathon at sliverstone next sunday
My advice, if the trainers are for running make sure you get fitted properly at adecent running shop and hav "gait analysis" done. It makes the world of difference.
Congrats on losing 4 stone though

Hehe mad fitness plan, we had pies for dinner and fish and chips on the way home from track!

Shouldn't you have found some rabbit food shop or something.

Running, tends to shift more weight than cycling I find, plus helps your endurance. Cycling may be more appealing though! And will also shift a few pounds.
