Default Stayin Alive - 2010 Training

When I wrote off me SV in a weird engine braking, skiddy surface, tankslapper at the Humber bridge I was a little downhearted, yet optimistic riding it back to York. I had already decided to get an all-day comfy V-Strom, so that was that.
Whilst I was looking around in September, Hovis pointed out a cheap Fireblade on a site - so I went from 72 to 154 bhp. Alas we lost Hovis a few months ago

So I am off to get some Bikesafe training in this Spring. The sooner the better. Anyone fancy joining me?

Bikesafe Workshops for the 2010 season are on the following dates and they say they hold them in Thirsk
28 March
18 April
23 May
20 June
18 July
08 August

Yes sheff cops hold one based on the 'europa link' near junction 35 (?) of m1 (sheffield parkway)
IIRC it was £50 butt aht included the ghey certificate, a useful puk, the roadcraft book I'd wanted, lunch , neck tube I use, and a bag, t-shirt etc. and ofcourse the day's observation and the morning's theory. If you've never done any advanced training thoroughly recommend it - oh and it was bloody fun (told you about our antics andy )

edit : infact I possibly did a brief write up.

Ah yes, orose (and bikesafe last year ) mentioned that, infact the bikecop I was with last year said they had a new sergeant who was great and was spending the money on helping bikers rather than speed traps.

Yep deffo worth waiting I'd be up for doing that with you (And others) - by the way do you wear fluorescents on your gladius? Saw one on derek dooley way a couple of afternoons ago.

And I'm the same - ashamed to say I've only ridden it once or twice since the 6th of december.

Yep that taws me
The Mrs insists I do while the weather is poo.
Work in the city centre and can park for free on the bike in an underground (score one for the x2 wheels).

I've booked a ride out on the arena site and I'm gagging to have a ride with some other bikers as my mate who rides is still dithering about the weather.
On call this weekend so no beer or bike but just means the sunshine will have to hang on for me

I was the black golf that moved over for you at the lights but then almost forgot to set off for having a gander at a gladius for the first time in the flesh. Nowt wrong with fluorescents when I commuted through winter I was constantly almost getting knocked off it the dark/crap weather (and did).

Yep think I'll be doing that bikesafe - will book it a little closer the time though.

Fanks I remember now you mention it.
Got a bad ankle still (quacks said the bone fragment is not whats causing the pain
I'm in most of the time...yeah, you gotta love Doctors who want to discharge people rather than fix um) so not doing too much filtering until I can be sure I got both feet 100%.

The recent dog bite on the butt has healed up nicely so can't wait to see what injury I get next, not that I wishing anyfink but I think some training might help me fend off the 'off'.
