2.4L stated in the Haynes manual and is pretty spot on.

+1 for the Haynes manual suggestion! Remember when doing your change:
  1. Run the engine for a few minutes before doing anything (this will warm it up so the oil will drain easily)
  2. Undo the sump plug at the bottom (with a drain pan underneath, obviously )
  3. Let the oil drain for 5 to 10 minutes (shouldn't take that long, but just to be sure).
  4. DON'T RUN THE ENGING NOW, AT ALL.
  5. Crack the old filter off (a bit more oil will spill out so ensure your pan is underneath to catch the spillage).
  6. With the new filter, run a bit of new engine oil around the seal (to grease the seal basically) - this will ensure when you tighten the filter, the seal is not dry (stopping it splitting as dry rubber will try to grip).
  7. Now tighten it onto the bike, when the seal makes contact with the engine, tighten it two full turns from here (this will be tight enough).
  8. Check the condition of the sealing washer that fits on the sump plug. It's advised to change it but if it is in good condition, it should be ok.
  9. Refit the sump plug (or you'll have new oil **** over the floor - frustrating, a waste and you'll feel an idiot ).
  10. Now you can fill up the oil level to the 'F' (full) line on the RH side.
  11. Wait a few mins for it to settle (and re-fill it up if required) - I tend to wait ten mins (make a cuppa ).
  12. With it settled at the F line, run the engine for a few mins. This will ensure oil is pumped around the entire engine (and the level will appear to drop a little).
  13. Turn the bike off after a few mins and wait again for it to settle. The level will probably drop - fill it up to F again and you're done
Done mine the other day . It is advisable to check the condition of the old oil. It can sometimes tell you on the condition of your engine.

Shouldn't the bike be upright to check the level?
If it's on the sidestand can cause problems from overfilling.

You're right - I forgot to mention this. Taking advantage of putting the bike on the paddock stand whenever I do maintenance. Yeah the bike has to be upright
