Default Buying advice - Kwak ZR7-S?

Guys,

Ive sold the SV and now looking at a K******i ZR7-S

Ive found a mint 04 plate, 6K on clock - never seen a wet road

Has anyone got experience of this bike? I know its not really "raved" about but seems a good buy. Comfy, large tank & Mint!

Apparently it has an old style 750 engine which are supposedly v reliable, its air cooled too.....

Im after your views/ opinions .

Cheers

A chap I work with had an 03 plate one with 40k on it - he said it was fine as a commuter but it was heavy, not that quick and dissolved in the bad weather if not looked after.

I would personally say look elsewhere as it will be nowhere near as much fun as your curvy...

A not very old bike with a thoroughly prehistoric engine. The Kawasak1 aircooled 750 engine was good in its day - but that was a long time ago.
Compared with modern engines it's rough and vibey.
I'm not saying don't, but they don't hold money so be careful to only buy one if very cheap.

I had a brief go on one and they're not as good as a 750 should be. A slight step up in power from the SV but not a lot else. Dare I say I'd rather have a h*rn*t 600!!

ZR7-S:

ZX7-R

Very, very different animal indeed, they may be from the same company but I doubt there's more than a washer or two the same between them.

ZX7R - awsome biikes (buy mine )
ZR7 - S - don't really see the appeal of it, and Kawasakis don't like salt. If you want a 750, get a real one. no point in paying the extra tax for something that ain't really got the balls to back up the cc's.
