just checked my MPG turned out in my 1.3 turbo deisel corsa

36 MPG

HOw old is it? What kind of driving?

1 year......... TBH i only go 4 miles to work & back,

it was in for a starter motor call back last week, i asked them to check it as it seemed poor, i have now worked it out, & its going for 1st service on monday, i will tell them im not happy

4 miles- that's why. Modern diesels are ****e when they're cold. You'll be getting between 10-15mpg for the first few miles

Short Journeys in a diesel, big no no for MPG.

You think thats bad, I used to get 20 - 25mpg out of my Golf on a good day, but it was a huge amount of fun.

i take it, thats why on the way to work im freezing my nuts off cos the heaters are still cold.

On a run up to yorkshire to see the folks I get 50-55mpg from my old 106 1.5d at a steady 75-80mph. I can get there and back on one tank of juice and still have near a quarter of a tank left.
