That's an odd piece of reasoning - are you suggesting that NI is better 'cos The Northern Ireland Old Bill Security Co LTD (very), are more inclined to shoot people than the lot we have here?

Can we not get him a shrubbery....one that looks nice....and not too expensive
2bh I could see how shooting someone dead for attempted robbery could be construed as overkill (excuse the pun  ) if hes coming at him with the knife could he have not shot him in the leg or the arm?But I dont go around robbing petrol stations, the guy took his chances and came across the wrong guy. Plenty more scumbags where he came from
