Oil in air filter - is this much 'normal'?

Admittedly, this one has been in a while, however would you expect this much build up of oil in the air filter?

I appreciate there's always going to be some oil misting up into the airbox, however would you expect this much after around 12k miles?

mine had a smaller amount in there at about the same miles, but i always forgot to keep oil topped up, i thiink as long as its not pooling, but there is a small drain pipe so should be a massive thing

I wouldn`t worry too much about it mate , I removed one that had done 7k on it and it was similar to that , I put it down to the dealer over-filling the gearbox . Every filter I changed after that had a small witness mark on it and it has never repeated , my engine has done of 55k now and still going strong .
