Hi everyone. I noticed a whirring type noise the day after I had new tyres fitted. Since then it had gotten louder so I took my bike down to BDS Motorcycles and they checked both rear Bearings, Sprocket Carrier Bearing and made sure there was no play in the front Sprocket "shaft" if you know what I mean.
The reason for this was because the garage that fitted my new tyres had put the chain back way too tight and I never realised till a few days later. I know I should have checked straight away, my own stupid fault. I ended up having both Rear Bearings replaced as one was making a grinding noise (sprocket side) and the other as also on its way out. I also had my front Sprocket replaced as the old one was really worn, but the rear Sprocket and chain were practicly new so previous owner obviously didnt change everything. Ended up costing me £70 for both rear Bearings, new front Sprocket and a quick check of all other bearings etc directly connected to drive chain area.
I think that is a pretty good price, however I was told that my Sprocket carrier Bearing had some rust and is also on its way out and should be replaced soon as possible. Ive never done this before so first I want to make sure I have found the right bearings.

If these are good, which I think they are, any things I should be wary of before I go and change them out? I'm still getting a whirring from the rear left side which Im guessing is from the Sprocket carrier Bearing as the wheel Bearings are new, however not as loud as it was before.
A little peed off as I wanted to spend this money on new gear but that will have to wait now.
