Default QA throttle fitting?

Can someone let me know abut fitting the QA? Its on my K9 and wanted to know will I have to shorten the cables or is it easier to by the cables from Venhill.

This is the item I want to buy.

I've got Renthall grips to go on too.

I'd guess the length of the cables would not be the issue here. It'll probably be the size/fitment of the nipples on the end that need altering. Maybe you can make them bigger by putting a sleeve over them? I bet Venhill charge silly money for their cables....maybe I'm just a cinic

You can buy nipples for cables that screw down onto the cable or that you solder on. That's what you get with the universal QA throttle kit from venhill. I think you also get differing sizes of throttle cams for the grip too.

I'm not sure if I have misunderstood but recently I changed the grips on my k3 and purchased them from Suzuki.

Part numbers -

57211-22D01
57110-46E01

The tube on my original was black and the new one is white. It not only requires a very small turn from shut to full throttle now; whereas before it was much more effort; but it is more comfortable to ride. The cable remain the same but the plastic bit where the cables locate is a bit different so it makes the action quicker.

This may make life easier for you if it achieves the same thing as the venhill one?

If iv missed the point then just ignore me.

I can't imagine you'd need to adjust the cable length any dramatic amount.

If I were you I'd have a play with the kit and your standard cables.
