Default Yes I'm an idiot but

I didn't read my manual carefully and didn't clean or lube my chain until after 3500 miles. I got the bike brand new so I hope I didn't do any damage. So I cleaned it with WD40 scraped off all the gunk and lubed it with chain lube spray. Since I waited so long si there anything else I should do.

Keep oiling it regularly!

Every 100 - 300 miles should do it. Try and aim for the linkages where the O rings are.

Better yet get a chainoiler! Loobman or Scott Oiler will do.

But not idiots. No, they're far to clever to need a manual

and after it gets wet - as there is alot more dirt and stuff in the muddy water you ride through.

my manual says lube every 600 miles.
i do it every 50ish.

wont do it any harm over lubing it will it?

Get a scottoiler then never clean it again... It's not just a question of wear and tear, a badly maintained chain ha a massively increased risk of breaking and you do not want that... Imagine having your legg chainsawed while you're riding at 70...

Yep scottoiler, then hose it down with some degreaser and a pressurehose when the back wheel is black. Sorted.

There are some other places that need lubeing as well, side stand and part of the clutch leaver afairc...
