Default Is it me or the time of year?

Is it me or the the time of year MMMmmm I'll try to explain:

For the last couple of months I have seen the usual well placed speed enforcement van on my travels, nothing out of the ordinary but since last Friday there appears to be a very large ammount of vans, cars (unmarked) carrying out speed enforcement checks as well as tax evasion checks.

So I pose the question, is it the time of the year or is it nothing out of the usual other than the usual festive seasonal purge on speed enforcement

Hmmm................ some thoughts.............:

Dunno where you are in the country, but this weekend has seen some of the worst weather of the year so far. It's no co-incidence that this has come about at the same time as a perceived (from my viewpoint, at least ) increase in serious road accidents. Check out the news and traffic reports on the radio - loads of roads closed over the last few days. If what you have seen are speed cameras/cars then maybe there's some justification?

It's a little early for the seasonal blitz on drink-drivers - not seen any forces doing the usual announcements, etc.

Maybe they're having a local blitz in your area? Not noticed anything too heavy down here.

The A470 (soutbound) just through Taffs Well seems to be a favourite spot, they don't even take away their temporary warning signs.

I try to let approaching riders know. I tap the top of my head with left hand, but what is the general consensus on warning signals.

Oh, didn't think of the thumbs down, I'll do that from now on.

Stealing the signs would be a laugh, but they are smart. it's chained to the armco.

So what size spanner do I need for the armco?

I can just about picture the front page of the local rag.

"Local motorcycle hooligan charged with dangerous driving"

The biker known as "Mogs" was stopped by South Wales Police having been spotted riding on one of Wales busiest roads with a 4 ft section of armco and a roadsign strapped to his rucksac."

When questioned Mr. M replied "The voices on the web told me to do it!"
