Default Dunno if this is a sign of a problem..

I noticed this morning when I got to work that a lot of steam/smoke rose from the front of the bike (radiator?). Is this just normal is cold weather or could there be something wrong??

Cheers for any help guys..

It's wet, it's cold, your engine is hot, put it all together and I'd be surprised if you didn't get some steam of it.

Check your coolant levels (when it's cold) but unless you've had an "off" it's unlikely to be anything more than that.

Cheers Mark.

Thought as much, but best to be safe. I did have an off a little while ago, but it didn't even crack the fairing so it wasn't anything major.

Thank you for putting my mind at rest.

Shin,

Not to worry you or anything. I had a similar thing about a year ago. Thought it was just the wet off the road, but the horn connectors had rubbed through the radiator core. It was only a pin hole but when the bike was hot the coolant was ****ing out everywhere.

Got it fixed for about £15 though so nothing too major.

Get the bike warmed up and squat down in front of the bike make sure nothing is peeing out.

I had exactly the same thing this morning! Loads of steam pouring up between the front forks.

I thought my bike was on fire for a minute......
