Have any of you guys had any dealings with the lot? They've got some very tempting prices in MCN at the moment.

Bought my SV new from there and my mate got his Bandit there too. Very friendly, although I have heard like most dealers they'll sell you ANYTHING second hand and cover up the bad stuff...
Service was ok, haven't had any problems at all.

SVRunner always speaks fairly highly of them, think 30mphmax got hers there too, I've not been in myself but been past a few times...

I bought my baby from them. No complaints. They replaced a seal on the front forks and lowered it (new dogbones inc) for me at no extra cost when I bought it.

I got mine from Johns of Romford. Incidently they were very nice to me and fitted my restrictor for nothing when others were trying to charge me lots of dosh for it!

I bought my leathers there. Got them home, tried them on again and decided they didn't fit. They swapped them without fuss the following weekend. But as I hadn't worn them I'd expect that from anywhere.

The salesman was helpful - I sat astride one of their SVs to test fit of leathers while he held it upright by its mirrors. His idea.

He also said he rode an SV650, so obviously has good taste in bikes.

I bought my SV from Alpha's. The guys who sell the equipement are generally nice jolly blokes but the bike salesman, especially the boss (Kelvin?) can come across as disinterested and unbothered - which is a shame as they have a nice little operation there. The prices are keen but if you are chopping in a part ex their prices are generally poor on that side of the deal. Also, when I was buying bits from them for the SV they were about 15% over the manufacturer's price (seat cowl, hugger etc) - I showed them the price list from Suzuki and they dropped the price, saying they got wrong info from Suzuki, but when I went in there again, they were still the same. It got annoying having to point this out everytime I bought something. Just do your homework first! But generally a good place to go if the price is right.

The clothing shop just up the road is Harpers by the way - but Alpha's do have some good discounts on certain items virtually all year round.

Thanks for the feedback. On reflection the deal they're offering is as good as it first appears given that I'd have to factor in a 800 mile round trip.

Still if I still lived in that neck of the woods they'd be a tempting prospect.

Hmm... I guess the fact that there are plenty of places in Essex we can call 'old reeky' just kept us thinking u were local...
