Default Two headlights??

Hello. I am French, I live in Toulouse and I have a SV650S of 2000. I don't know if the subject were covered, but I would like to be able to have the two lit codes, instead of one currently. Is this realizable? Can you help me? on the French site, I did not have a solution.

I hope that my english is correct and that you understand my question..

Thanks a lot.
Cédric

Cedric

As your bike has two different lights, if you were to connect them both, that is, just re-rig the wiring, then you would not have separate high and low beams. The lights you have do not have twin filament bulbs, one or possibly both of the lights will have only one filament in them, unless you were to change the light unit for one in which you could fit twin filament bulbs, for instance a UK spec one, it's not a practical mod, and if you were to do so, your lights would dip the wrong way, as we drive on the left.

I have done this as i have got an import the only problem you will get if you do change the headlight unit is the wiring wont run the new bulbs i had to re-wire the bulb connectors as one side just ran the main beam and the other just ran the normal light you have to run a link wire from the main beam and also one to the other connector..

But i have to admit it does look a hell of alot better and well worth the change...

they sell these headlight units on E-bay now and again ...

But Cedric lives in Toulouse, so he's not going to want lights that dip 'our' way.
