Default Not been here for a while (thank you and Goodbye)

Hi all, i have not been on the site for some time. I have been working hard and on the odd day off having been doing jobs on the house to keep Mrs.Chog happy.
Anyway after much grovelling (see above) and much saving I have convinced Mrs.Chog of the need for a bigger bike

I came back to bikes after about 7 years out, the usual story family, mortgage etc, etc. Thats when I got the SV. My bike before my enforced break was an Exup 1000, so the SV although not over powerful felt nimble and torquey
I started to modify the bike and thats wneh i found this site. Although i have not posted much over the years I have been an avid reader of others posts and got valuable information. I also managed to get to the 2004 Rideout a brilliant day, meeting some fantastic people. :P
The more i have modified the bike the more it has become like an extension of my family, yet at the back of my mind was always the lust for more power and a return to 4 cylinders
The bug for more power really started to take hold towards the back end of last summer. I considered spending money on the Sv to get it tuned, but for a decent hike in power you are looking at around £1,000
For this sort of money you can trade up to a bigger engined bike (there is no substitute for cubes)
Anyway the long and short of it is I have taken the plunge and hopefully this time next week the SV will be gone and I will be proud owner of a Bandit 12. :P :P :P
I know some will say the Bandit doesnt handle or stop as well as the Sv but after looking at my riding and the fact i want to go drag racing again, then the Bandit is the perfect base to start from.
Anyway the purpose of my rambling is to thank all the people, especially John who have given me help and advice through my few years of SV ownership. Hope you all carry on having a great time and enjoying your SV's . They are a great bike.
Thank you and Goodbye.

What do you mean 'goodbye'

Just because you haven't got an SV anymore, doesn't mean you can't still pop in every now and again ( unless you get a h*rn*t of course )

why do people think they have to leave a forum where they have friends because they get a different bike?

I think SV owners are becoming the minority on here now

Seeing as you are all being so nice I will rephrase my message,
THANK YOU and goodbye to my SV.
I will definatly keep visiting the site and will post some pics of the new bike when I get it. :P
Do all your comments mean I can still come to this years rideout.
