OMG...That is incredible! The relentless pursuit of losing a few ounces here and there in order to wrap an extremely powerful engine in what is no more than a 600 frame. I know bikes are not built for impact but you would not expect your bike to totally disintegrate like that in what was apparently a very slow impact! It had to be slow for poor old Jeff to receive just a bit of a cut to a finger.

What also sucks is he the innocent party tried to avoid an incident provoked by some other c*nt and he has really got the sh*tty end of the stick.

Terrible shame.

I hope to him above that Suzuki are taking a very long look at this!

Is a bit shocking, I've just text a mate as he was planning on getting a new GSXR1000...

I posted the same article on the K5 that crashed on the track and came apart, a while back. Hopefully this will now make suzuki look at things.

I always thought Suzuki's build quality is pretty poor, but for a brand new flagship bike this is just taking the pi$$ . Can't see me ever buying another suzuki again and i know Jelster feels the same

If you'll excuse the profanity................ bugger me - that's appalling

The frame itself is fine, it's the welding that's the problem. Ought to be easily sorted, but will Suzuki do it under a recall? Doubt it.

I seriously dunno about the frame snapping while racing, surely one of the BSB/WSB guys would have had similar already?
The TT or the Irish road racing are far more testing than any track, no problems there.
What about the stresses to frames from 24hr endurance racing?
