Last years R&G's seemed to be getting a bad rep for various reasons so i avoided them and went for the Motrax DHMs.Cos they were cheap basically.

They look quite unobtrusive and thankfuly i've not had to test them yet. Hope i never have to either

Of those 2, Mokos all the way.

Spidey, see if they've changed the design on the DHMs from when I had them... On the RHS, there's basically a stud, a threaded ally spacer, and then the bung itself with the M10 bolt threading into the spacer. Check it carefully to see how deep into the spacer that outside botl goes in. On the early ones at least, for the carbed model, the bolt went about 6mm in- with that little thread, the bung was barely even staying on. The second time I fitted them the thread stripped before I was close to the recommended torque Utterly useless in a crash. The bolt was about 20mm shorter than it should have been. Yours might be better, they admitted to the defect and refunded me after some persistance...

I've fitted Motosliders, to give another alternative- tested to destruction by the SV Rider posse, and they've come through with shining colours. They're also cheap- £95 got me a set of bungs, a set of spare rubbers, and a set of swingarm bobbin/sliders delivered. Faster delivery from the US than R&G have managed on any of the 3 occasions I've bought stuff from them as well.

Motosliders for me.

Because Northwind says they are good. And Northwind cannot be wrong. About anything.

That is true. Bow before me, for I constantly listen to everything, and steal all the good bits and claim them as my own. It worked for Nirvana.

RnGs all the way for me. I've road tested them, both old and new versions and I can definitely say they do their job. When I chucked the SV down the road in the wet the crash bung took all the impact and there wasn't a mark on the bodywork at all. In the more serious accident the bung bent which is what it is supposed to do as it prevents damage to the frame I believe, this still meant the RnG bung did its work and the bodywork was fine. I can't recommend them enough, I refused to go out on my new bike until I had RnGs fitted because without them I would just be tempting fate!
