Default Seat cowl removal

Hi guys, I've recently bought myself a tailpack and I've had to take my seat cowl off and put my pillion seat back on.. The cowl was on the bike (curvy) when I bought it but it came with the seat separately.

Having taken the bracket that the cowl attached to off, and put the seat on I've found there's a bit of a gap round the seat and the two huge slots either side where the bracket bolted on.

It looks like a bit of the fairing's missing... got any ideas what it's called so I can track down a new part?

Cheers.

Er.. not today...

I'll have another look tonight but I think you're right about the grabrail... Cheers.

this is what mine looks like, if the problem is at the rear you're missing a grab rail, if the problems at the front it's where the helmet hooks are and is no problem

Why's that

If you're scared about it falling off, or scratching the cowl, get some of that non-slip matting & cut it to size - problem solved. My local Morrisons supermarket sells it for £1.99

It looks like this stuff & is black - http://www.smallparts.com/products/descriptions/mat.cfm

It's good at keeping pillions from sliding around as well

cheers

Ahah, so it's normal then. Just looks odd because it's missing the grabrail.

Cheers dude.

Mr Toad - The seat cowl itself is dubious and attached in a less than solid way (I'd been resorting to using electrical tape to keep it secure) so it's better just to put the seat back on. Cheers though, I might get some of that stuff anyway to stop the bungees from manking up my rear fairing.
