that was amazing! if only we had great roads like that over here. reading the comments tho apparently they have lots of lorries on that road that cross teh double yellows and they have accidents at the rate of two a week. sounds more then a little hairy!

wonder how a stock sv would handle on those roads?

Hope it wasnt bad. Wont hear a bad thing said about them or their riders. Not since the one stopped for me in my CBR accident.

But not surprised, they are a lot better bike than people give them credit for. I can even sit on one with feet down....

Edit: cyphertheory, you need to head to Cumbria, Scotland or pretty much anywhere in the Penines for roads as fun as that.

Good skill, can't helping thinking the footboard (or whatever else was touching down) wont last long at that pace.

Did anyone see neil mackensie thrashing a wing roung a track on a two vid (i think) he was pulling wheelie and all sorts, had a moment on it as well.

You would get quite a shock if those two overtook u wouldn't u, this reminds me of that gs1150 vid on the isle of man when the rider who was very good but not a racer was beating all the sports bikes.

Well watched the video, is that intended to impress?

given that the whole route consisted of sweeping bends, with good camber assist, on a good surface, in good weather, And I'll lay good money it's a road well known to the rider, nothing to outstanding there.

Now throw in a couple of tight bends, and I mean tight, the odd surface change, few damp corners and the guy would have been in trouble or proved an impressive rider.

Although he does made good use of road poisition most of the time, unlike the last american type one of these I saw.

Having had a pan at over 130mph and also put it though some very twisty stuff, it at least has the benifit of better ground clearance, the goldwing just can't do that, you could try but apart for a grindy noise you wouldn't get to far.

on the other hand the first generation naked wings were suprisingly agile.

Cheers Mark.
