Default My first ride on my new Pride & Joy

Picked it up last night. The girl I bought it from didn't hang around to watch me ride on off into the sunset..which is lucky as I stalled it straight away!!! My Rebel didnt' have a biting point as such so I'd completely forgotten to ease the clutch out gently.

For the first 10 minutes it was all stop start - not my fault. East end of London push hour traffic! Finally got on to the A3 with a bit of space around me & was able to burn off all those pesky kids on their mopeds. 1-nil to me!

Cool bike, but I'll take a week to adapt fully from my 125. I can honestly say that the trip home scared the wilies out of me! But in a good way....like when you are able to walk away from a car wreck.

Cornering at low speeds was a bit twitchy, but more likely than not that was me.

Watch out for me on the yellow peril. Comnig to a road near you....soon!

its probably for the best you chose the slowest colour, seeing as you have just upgraded from a 125. probably safest that way

Best check your tyre pressures, particularly the front, as it can have an enormous effect on how the bike handles at slow speeds.

Enjoy your bike, maybe see you up at Soho .

33 front 36 rear. Theres a sticker on the swing arm that has the pressure details on it.

It might vary a few pounds depending on the make of tyre and your riding style. However as you've just got your bike I wouldnt worry to much at the moment. Standard pressure will suit you just fine till you get a bit more used to it.
