Default Puncture.......NOOOOOOOooooooooo!!

Went to the garage to hop on the bike to go to work.......rear tyre flat. Lost all its air in 48 hours....

I'm having trouble finding anyone locally who'll do a puncture repair. hopefully got something sorted but it means me leaving my bike in Caerphilly overnight.

Hopefully, I'll still make it to AR06

Can you get one of those cans of tire foam that will at least let you ride to a garage to gethet puncture fixed?

It'll hold air long enough for me to get to the repairers.

The problem is that they are so chocka with work I'm just going to have to leave the bike with them overnight and collect it at close of play tomorrow, after work.

Hence my concern that if they don't/can't do it i won't be going to AR06

Using tyre foam doesn't neccesarily stop you plugging it - it just doesn't bloody work.

I tried using tyre foam when I got a puncture on the norf/sarf trip. It just about kept a bit of air in it overnight, but then lost it all again 10 miles after we set off for home.

I was however then able to plug it myself which lasted all the way home (300 miles) and I am sure it would have lasted for longer if needed (the tyre was shagged anyway so I changed it).

What rubbish timing, hope it gets done in time jabba.

I'd try getting there before they open and beg and plead for them to do it there and then. Always worth a try.

It does sometimes. But only if theres a tiny hole in your tyre. I had a slit in one tyre a bit like Matt did and the foam didnt fix it for me either tha time. I've used it two other times and its worked fine.

I agree though the plugs are a much better solution.

As above, but rather than beg and plead, I'd "ask very nicely and offer to pay extra to have it done straight away".
