As my bike is now my sole transport I'm going to fit heated grips before this winter. However, I'm planning on changing the stock clip-ons for some raised straight bar ones. My question is, how exactly do heated grips (say, Oxford Hot Hands) fit? Will I be able to take them off my existing bars and fit them to the new bars (which realistically, probably won't be done till spring)? Or would it be a lot easier to just do it all in one go (IE fit new bars then fit heated grips to those)?
Again, same question (can I get ones for clip-ons that can later be moved to renthals), but for hand guards? |

Oxford Hot Grips...
They're glued on, like the stock ones, so should be a big deal to do it twice. Right pain in the rear trying to pull the stock ones off though, so the hotgrips are staying attached to the bike indefinately. If I want to keep the grips, the bars from the SV will be fitted to my next bike, it'll be easier. |

Apologises, I meant that it shouldn't be a big deal to remove the sticky stuff (careful folks, U rating!)
But yea, removing the grips themselves I found to be a swine. |
