Default 'Tis the season to be carefull

OK, please take this in the spirit it is given.
This is a plea to all of us to be more carefull that usual, to pay more attention that usual, to be more suspicious than usual of cars and lorrys. Ride safer, get home to your familly and friends upright and not via A&E. When your brain fizzes slightly and you feel yourself "going for one last overtake" just double check it again. When you see that car at the junction, watch it more that normal.
I ask this of us all 'cos I am flippin sick and tired of dealing with biker RTC's. There seems to be a war going on in Manchester between cars and bikes, they just can't seem to stop trying to destroy each other at the moment.
I have three bikers in hospital at the moment, one brain dead, one minus his left foot, the other minus his left LEG all from seperate jobs, and that's just me! All the lads and lasses on my unit are flushed with biker RTC's.
So, be safe, be suspicious, ride well and look forward to Christmas.

But hot chicks dig scars !!!!!!!

Seriously tho - definately a well timed/meaning post.

Glad to be in the safety of London rush hour traffic than the Carwars of Manc tho

Maybe I am just hiding behind humour, but I do value what you wrote

In with soulkiss here, London seems a lot safer than manchester for Us bikers, but the festive season is upon us so watch out for the driver with a bit more Festive cheer than he should have.

Yes.Lots of leaves and slimy crap on the roads now.Very poor grip which means take it easy and think ahead.

I've decided it's not the wet or the cold I dislike about this time of year. It's the flipping dark.

We all gotta be careful, regardless of the season or the weather. I really appreciate the sentiment of the post though, the temperature/weather/light is all against us right now.

yup, definatly take it easy, i almost had an off a little while ago just when it started raing, so it was really slippery. although i just had a good idea. a lot of the time when i am about to slide out, i normally sam the ground and it helps a lot and alot of the times it has saved me from going down, although my foot has hurt a tad afterwards. why not try using something like roller skates?? about to go down, use your left or right foot, keep on going and use the force of your leg to get you back up right while you can still keep going! DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!! just a thought from a mindless fool.

there has been a couple of bad offs down here recently as well. one death and two seriously injured. im kinda glad i havnt got the bike on the road with weather like this.
