Default Shocking Suspension

Called in at the shops tonight on my way home, and saw a copy of Ride, so picked it up & had a quick flick through.

One thing caught my eye. The R6's suspension.

Apparently, if you ride for a mile, then change the suspension setup, ride for a mile, change, and repeat until you've ridden in EVERY possible setup, you could of ridden to mars & back, and still have 40 miles left to ride!

What the?!?!?!

depends on your definition of fully adjustable? Are you meaning able to adjust compression, rebound and preload or, high speed compression/damping and low speed compression/damping etc etc?

That Ride article's an absolute farce... They view adjustability as a disadvantage. Newsflash, you don't need to use it. leave it alone and it's exactly as if it doesn't exist. They also make daft comments like "The bike didn't feel right as standard, but when we added preload to the front it was much better", or, to put it differently : "This guitar sounds rubbish when it's out of tune, we recommend this other guitar because it was in tune when we took it out of the box"

Same analogy works for the new R6- "This guitar's too confusing because you can alter the tuning. We recommend this guitar because it has no tuning pegs. True, that means it'll never be in tune but at least halfwits can understand it"

It really annoys me to see stuff made to sound like black magic.

Well, it is a disadvantage in the sense that it adds a bit of weight, if you do only ever use it on the stock settings.

Only guessing mind. Probably earlier than that?

You could offset it by thinking light thoughts though
