I've owned my SV curvy for all of 6 months and managed to bin it. So I thought "What I need is more power" so my SV is getting repaired slowly and I've bought a Ducati 900 monster. It would seem that life with an IL4 wouldn't suit me!
I've not got the time for screaming the tits off an engine for an extra 1-2 BHP. Enjoy the fact that you're on a bike and that you're amongst friends. Last edited by Heed; 24-05-07 at 11:17 AM. |

Well I've had one electrical fault on it already but that's sorted now. The thing wouldn't start. It's not much fun bump starting a 900cc twin

I like the look of the 'Monsters'
![]() I didn't think that the 900 produced much more power than an SV though. |

Be thankful you didnt go for the 600 Monster - very weedy....! Great looking bikes though!
![]() They didnt get "proper" power until the water cooled ones IMO

Jax has a M600, air cooled... its got loads of power, more then enough. You just need to know how to use it. As the engine is low it makes it well easy to throw about.

Yep the usal problem is that they have not been looked after right, Jax's one had a good servicing and a full engine rebuild. Loads more power.
Make sure you use the recomend oils and such make for a much happier engine. |
