Default A good book for touring the UK?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend me a good book to use as a guide for touring the UK?

Something like a 'Lonely Planet' but preferably written 'by bikers for bikers' type thing? (i.e. with a slant towards biking, nice roads, places to stay, places to eat etc.)

If not the full UK, a book for England would be a good start....

Thanks!

PS, where to get hold of it would be useful too!

The 2007 version would be better...

Thanks for the tips guys, keep them coming.

(I have an Atlas thanks , and I'll be using Sat Nav - its more a guidebook that I'm after.....)

Nearest HG is a long way away, maybe I can get from another online retailer.

I think I have that Ride mag somewhere......

In the end, I found this good book.....

"The Road Riders Guide to England and Wales", [nameDick] Henneman, Oct 2003

I think if used in combination with a 'rough guide' or 'lonely planet' to Britain, it should be a very useful tool.....

First impressions, it looks well written and clear, though quite basic i.e. standard non-glossy black&white.

But its a great size for a map pocket, the ring binding means you can leave it on the navigation page which has clear route and road numbers.

Went for the deal which gives you Scotland and Ireland in an additional seperate book for a few quid more.....
